At IIAS “personal information” includes:
- Records of members
- Records of some member queries
- Records of inquiries to the IIAS following requests for information.
- To provide information about our members required for administrative purposes
- To provide contact details for sending bulletins, newsletters, press releases and other information relating to our work.
The IIAS has provided this Policy on our public website, accessible for anyone to view or print. Our Policy describes:
- What sort of information we hold
- For what purpose/s we hold it
- How we collect, hold, use and disclose the information.
When we collect personal information, we do so only by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.

We will take steps to:

- Ensure that modification information is received from authorised persons only
Access and Correction
We will not use or disclose any information except when demanded by law.
In some cases, it will not suit our activities to conduct transactions with individuals who do not identify themselves. We will however allow it where it is lawful and practicable.
